Registered Physical Therapist (RPT)
Full-time/Part-time

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Physical Therapist (RPT) to join our team at Providence Physical Therapy. As an RPT, you will be responsible for evaluating patients, creating customized Plans of Care, and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients with a variety of impairments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical function, mobility, strength, and pain levels. Develop personalized Plans of Care based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
  • Supervise and support Physical Therapy Assistants in implementing treatment plans and providing direct patient care.
  • Guide and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to treatment protocolsand quality standards.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment goals and interventions as needed to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to coordinate patient care and achieve treatment goals.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, home exercises, and injury prevention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, treatment interventions, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Rhode Island.
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required. New grads welcome.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practice guidelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):
Full-time/Part-time

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at
Providence Physical Therapy. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in
providing quality therapy to patients in a fast-paced outpatient environment. You will work
closely with Registered Physical Therapists (RPTs) to implement personalized treatment plans
aimed at improving function and reducing pain.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize a variety of modalities, exercises, functional mobility training, postural awareness
    training, and activity tolerance training to address patient needs and goals.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment interventions as necessary to ensure
    optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and
    achieve treatment goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, treatment
    interventions, and progress notes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans,
    home exercises, and injury prevention strategies.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and ethical guidelines, including HIPAA compliance and patient
    confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Valid license or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of [Your State].
  • CPR certification required.
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
